The town was named after William Stevens Fielding, then the federal finance minister.
The Post Office opened on December 1, 1905, and closed on September 26, 1980.
It is currently a Ghost Town.




Postmarked 1915

Built around 1910, the Fielding Hotel burned down in 1922, along with most of the buildings on the town's main street.
